THE MST ALUMNI NETWORK – Mary Seacole Alumni

We are excited and pleased to launch the Mary Seacole Alumni – a new initiative that aims to enhance Mary Seacole’s legacy by creating an alumni network that will complement and strengthen the Mary Seacole Trust (MST) leadership programmes, including the Mary Seacole Storytellers program. We are optimistic that the Alumni will form a platform for sharing expertise and knowledge. The    alumni will help to support and enhance capacity building and various skills for mentees, such as leadership and resilience.

Objectives of the MST Alumni network

  • Create a Think tank – The Alumni will create a community of leaders and aspiring leaders.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching for early-career health care professionals.
  • Enhance Global outreach and the Trust’s visibility

Benefits for Alumni

As a former Mary Seacole scholar,

  • You will have a unique insight that can support a nurse or midwife in a position you were once in.
  • You will connect with a community of leaders whilst shaping the next generation of professionals.
  • You will be invited to attend the annual Alumni fundraising dinner, the inaugural event is scheduled for 2027.
  • You will have opportunities to be part of our wider MST projects going forward.
  • As an MST Alumni mentor, you’re not just giving – we hope you are also gaining. Some of you will be able to hone your skills as a leader and have the opportunity to witness the direct impact of your guidance.
